Films you won’t see anywhere else

What if cinema were a meeting place – where images, voices and ideas intersect and respond to one another? At Bozar, it takes the form of a rich, discerning and decidedly contemporary programme, bringing together artistic discoveries, immersive experiences and conversations with the filmmakers shaping cinema today.

The new season opens with a karaoke screening of Jacques Demy's classic Les Demoiselles de Rochefort.

Throughout the year, our Close-up series will spotlight the work of the Argentine collective El Pampero Cine, alongside filmmakers Pauline Julier, Erige Sehiri, Audrius Stonys and Claude Schmitz.

This autumn, Irish artist and filmmaker Vivienne Dick will look back on more than forty years of experimental filmmaking. Nicolas Philibert will share his reflections on the art of cinema during the State of Cinema, while British director Mark Jenkin will present his films in Belgium for the first time.

From rare screenings and exciting discoveries to immersive experiences and encounters with filmmakers, the season promises many more surprises, every Wednesday to Sunday.

The film programme unfolds across five distinct formats :
